Thai Time

I'm sorry that I am not the best at keeping up with writing. My goal was to write at least once a week, but as you see that hasn't happened. So this was from 2 weeks ago....

We were so blessed to meet up with some Thai people from Ben's church, including his dad, at a conference called Harvest 2013. It was a conference where 13 countries came together. It was Thanksgiving break and we were to have Wednesday through Friday off from school. So thank the Lord we were able to attend the conference because of that break!! The first day we took the bus. Now don't get me wrong the bus system is so great and really will take you anywhere. BUT it can be a little confusing and it can take forever. A ride that would take 30 minutes in a car took us over an hour. So after the first day we decided it would be better to take a taxi which took at most 40 minutes! At the conference since everyone does not speak the same language the service is translated and each country has their own headsets to listen. Ben was able to translate for Thai a couple of times. Although we didn't always get to stay the whole time it was a refreshing time to praise in English, and to be around Thai. It was refreshing for Ben especially to be speaking Thai and to see his father. After the conference we were able to go to a traditional folk village, but was way to big to be able to see it all. I would love to go back again when we have more time. We were able to go back to the Thai missionaries house with the Thai group and spend more time with them. Overall it was such a great, but so so so so short time. Here are some pictures from the weekend!
